Wireless Sensing High-Power Pneumatic Swing Clamp model WHP detects the unclamp position by wireless communication and reduces the number of ports compared with conventional sensing clamps. It uses a built-in mechanical lock and is intended to replace hydraulic-style holding force in a pneumatic package.

The clamp family offers selectable cylinder-force sizes and supports wireless sensing with receiver YWA and repeater YWB as separate accessories. The catalog also notes a direct-mount speed control valve option and recommends separate catalog information for receiver and repeater.

The clamp action combines swing motion and vertical motion: during clamping the lever swings first and then descends vertically, and during unclamping the piston rod rises vertically and then swings back. The catalog states that swing position repeatability is within ±0.5° and that the sensing signal can be transmitted before the end of the unclamp stroke.

Use filtered clean dry air. The catalog warns that the mechanism must be used within the clamp stroke range to achieve the specified values, and that speed control should be adjusted with the allowable swing-time guidance. It also notes radio-regulatory limits by country and that the signal transmission function is disabled at shipment until the function stop nut is removed.
